Magic Submitter Review
By Gadzooks
What Is Magic Submitter?
Magic Submitter is the latest (at time of writing) piece of software from Alex the Magician, also responsible fore Magic Article Rewriter and Magic Submitter.
Magic submitter is a link building tool which can submit to a number of different types of website and supports automated (outsourced manual) captcha solving via a third party service.
Magic Submitter is similar to both SE Nuke and Sick Profile Creator.
Magic Submitter is like SE Nuke in that it can submit content and links to a range of different sources, i.e. bookmarking sites, article directories, blog and so called Web 2.0 sites and video sites.
Magic Submitter vs SE Nuke
Like SE Nuke success rates are not that great on the bundled target sites, as, whenever the owners of these sites tweak something, Magic Submitter, Se Nuke and any other similar scripts or applications break.
This is where Magic Submitter is smarter than your average submitter, because you can maintain and add new targets yourself VERY useful.
This is easy to do on most sites, but for more complex stuff Alex has muttered the words "C# Scripting", so, you can really push the boundaries if you want to. The example Alex gives is conditional stuff like "If no pen name exists create a pen name" in an article directory.
However, for the vast majority of sites no scripting is required, you can use the GUI (point and click interface) to build your new routines.
The whole application is nicely designed and very usable. All sites and processes are organised in a consistent manner and it is quick to get to grips with.
SE Nuke on the other hand is a badly organised shambles, and despite being around for years is no more stable.
In my opinion SE Nuke was always driven by IM Pimps whereas Magic Submitter has been driven by a tallented and professional developer, and it really shows.
Considering Magic Submitter is a fraction of the price of SE Nuke it is a no brainer in my opinion, I would go for Magic Submitter every time.
Magic Submitter vs Sick Profile Creator
I have to be honest, I am out of my depth here and need to get my associate who spoon feeds me all my sick scripts to help me out with this section... but for now here my 2 cents:
- Magic Submitter can do a lot with no scripting
- Magic Submitter can be scripted with C# to extend GUI functionality
- Magic Submitter can auto solve captchas (using a third party service)
- Magic Submitter has built in email verification which Sick did not have last time I looked
- Sick is a fraction of the price and does a great job
I think on balance I would go with Magic in terms of the product, but not for the price. If you can get what you need to done with Sick then why pay more, unless of course you are also looking for a ready to go submitter like SE Nuke... decisions decisions...
Is Magic Submitter Worth The Money
Yeah but no but... yeah... but no.
I love this software, its the best thing to be released in a long time
in my opinion, but... i got an annual subscription on pre release as an existing customer. On top of that, I am in a position to get the most out of it. So for me it was definitely worth it. It would probably be worth the full price to me.... at a push.
However, compared to something like Bookmarking Demon which has a one off fee, it is certainly not worth the money. People argue that the targets need to be maintained in Magic, but the fact is BMD maintain their targets, all be it a smaller number for no additional charge, and they provide excellent support.
Magic on the other hand has an abismal success rate at the moment with only 50% of targets being postable, so you are paying a much higher monthly fee for inferior support. I dont like that very much.
Once all the targets are properly maintained it will be good, but at the moment (06/25/10), its a lot to pay for a 50% success rate.
If you only have a few sites to promote, the best thing to do is prepare a load of spinners, then take out a subscription and submit everything you have amassed, then cancel. You do not want a monthly subscripton hanging around your neck for any longer than you need it.
Magic Submitter Summary
Its great software with loads of potential, but still a young product at the moment with a few bugs and issues.
I would recommend this over SE Nuke, but it would be worth finding out how well maintained the bundled targets are before you buy, and finding out if there are any promotions / coupons on offer.
If you plan to add your own targets this is not such an issue, but from what I have seen most people want to use it straight out of the box, and get frustrated when the bundled targets break.
I have no doubt all these issues will be resolved, Alex is a tallented guy and has been working hard on this app over the last few weeks, it is coming along nicely, but still has a little way to go to deliver to its full (promised) potential.

Thanks for the review - you and I are at different ends of backlinking needs, and as a marketer, I do like the content-based submission tools in MS.
Pre-sell all the way to the landing page. It works for me. I also liked your review of SEOLinkPro - good stuff, and thanks for saving me some money!
Great information, I think I might try it out

Any chance you will review Xrumer anytime soon? I am looking at picking it up, but wonder if it is still as powerful as it once was.
